However, water was a problem everywhere, some sort of it. In cities such as New York, for the moment, the flood barriers avoided the city ended swallowed by the sea like Venice, Bangkok, and many others before. As for LA megacity, like in many other places, the problem was scarcity: water was gold. Actually, above all else dwindling resources, water had become an issue in all the Republic of California. The Biltmore received its little share of water from Sierra Nevada and Lake Mead, Colorado River. Hoover dam was fortified and strongly defended. Fortunately, that little amount of water the Biltmore could afford sufficed to their needs because the community worked together efficiently as cogs in a wheel.

En realidad, por encima de todos los recursos escasos, el agua se había convertido en la preocupación de toda la República de California. El Biltmore recibía su parte de agua de Sierra Nevada y el lago Mead, río Colorado. La presa Hoover estaba fortificada y fuertemente defendida. Afortunadamente, la pequeña cantidad de agua que el Biltmore podía permitirse cubría sus necesidades porque la comunidad trabajaba eficientemente en equipo  como dientes de un engranaje.

Respetar el derecho constitucional y democrático de los padres a decidir directamente sobre qué actividades de índole moral incluir en la programación anual de centro no es solo incorporar un nuevo actante sino también un mecanismo de control más para impedir el abuso ideológico y el adoctrinamiento. En la práctica docente supondrá complicaciones; a cambio, convertiremos las actividades de educación moral y en valores en espacios de consenso y encuentro y no de sesgo y enfrentamiento.

Neutrality is not for granted. 

The Spanish educative system (like others) does not warrant neutrality, does not prevent indoctrination. Respecting the constitutional right of parents to decide what actitivities concerning morals suit their children, would enable parents to monitor such activities too and thus set up another quality control against the plausible temptation to brain-wash our children. Indeed, it will also make teaching more difficult but, in return, activities concerning morals will change from the politically biassed space for boosters and indoctrination they are likely  into a safe space to meet and agree.

"Yeah, oh definitely. I mean Ripley, she’s just one of the best examples, especially in the first 'Alien.' Because she kind of ends up becoming more and more bad ass. But in the first one she really is just a smart woman who knows what’s going on and who’s trying to convince everyone else that there’s something bad happening. She responds in a way that women would aspire to. She's someone strong, independent and really put together. So I think that in that sense, Kate is similar. I definitely didn't try to copy her performance in any way, but she is such an iconic character that you can’t help but have it in the back of your mind."

¿Es divertido sacar a tu Ripley interior?

Sí, oh absolutamente. Es decir, Ripley, ella es simplemente uno de los mejores ejemplos, en particular en el primer 'Alien' porque de alguna manera ella termina volviéndose más y más brutal, pero en la primera ella es tan solo una mujer inteligente que intenta persuadir a todo los demás de que algo malo está ocurriendo. Ella reacciona de una manera que gustaría a las mujeres. Ella es alguien fuerte, independiente y bastante armada. Por tanto, creo que en ese sentido, Kate es similar. No intenté copiar su actuación de ninguna manera, pero ella es un personaje tan icónico que no puedes evitar mas que tenerlo en mente.
